Criquet Shirts: The 19th Hole
It’s time you got to know Criquet Shirts a little better.
In our last style post, we introduced you to the Criquet brand, likely convinced you that The Players Shirt will become your new go-to polo, and hooked you up with a 20% off discount code to sweeten the deal on your next Criquet purchase (psst: code PERFECTPOLO – good to use through 5/6/2018).
Now, it’s time to crack open a cold one, discover the full line-up of apparel, and share the spirit behind the Criquet brand. Welcome to the 19th hole.
Beyond the desire to create the perfect polo (check) and keep you looking good on-and-off the course (check), Criquet Shirts is ultimately all about the 19th hole. If you’re picturing some whack golf course bar, think again – Criquet’s version of the 19th hole runs much deeper than that.
As they put it, it’s “wherever and whenever you’re most at ease.” Maybe that’s at a tailgate with your crew or on the range ripping drivers and sipping a brew – wherever this magical place may be, it’s near and dear to you. It’s your 19th hole.
That same magical feeling you have at your 19th hole is the one you’ll experience when you dawn Criquet apparel. Let’s take a look at the full-lineup of gear.
The Players Shirt

Long Sleeve Players Shirt
When you design the perfect polo, it only makes sense you create a long sleeve version, too. It’s got all the great characteristics of it’s short sleeved cousin — 4 button placket, organic cotton fabric, removable collar stays — but it’s a bit more rugged and perfect for those cool summer nights or crisp fall days.
Add a button cuff for ease of rolling-up the sleeves and this will be the best long-sleeve polo you own. The regular size is ideal for layering over another shirt, while the slim fit is a bit more lightweight and can be worn on it’s own.
Sweaters
Criquet’s got a wide variety of sweaters to choose from including Crewneck, V-neck, Cable and Cardigan designs. Each feature a soft cotton/cashmere blend with rib cuffs and side seams for a custom fit, while other details vary between patch pocket, flap pocket, or plain front.
I really dig the V-neck design featuring reverse jersey elbow patches for a nice contrast on the sleeves, along with the special edition “cricket” embroidery. Throw one on over a Players Shirt for those early morning rounds.
Texas-Made Button Downs
To round things out, Criquet offers some damn good button-downs made right at home — in Texas. Japanese milled cotton, button-down collar and no pocket for easy layering mean this bad boy will be a mainstay in your closet for years to come.
The Clubhouse
After wearing these Criquet products on and off the course, I can say with certainty it’s a brand you need to get to know, mixing just the right amount of classic vintage style with modern fabric and detailing. And to really win you over, Criquet adds a cocktail recipe to the back of the tag on each shirt. Nice touch, boys. Be sure to check-out all the other cool Criquet gear on their website.
If find yourself wandering the streets of Austin, TX, be sure to drop by the Criquet clubhouse and meet the guys behind the shirts you’ll inevitably grown to love. Be sure to leave some extra time before those dinner reservations – you’ll need plenty of it while you try on some shirts, drink a beer, sink some putts on the backyard green, and try to school the founders at NBA Jam (key word: try).
Please be respectful though — remember, these guys are at work!
