J. Lindeberg Golf Apparel: 5 Favorites from the Sprint to Streamsong
If you’ve ever taken a golf trip, one thing’s for sure: packing can be challenging.
What’s the forecast? Do I need shorts and pants? Layers and outerwear? What about rain gear?
A long golf weekend anywhere raises a myriad of questions to be answered before selecting just the right gear for the trip. But how about two weeks away in December, with an itinerary that included golf everyday in 6 separate states stretching down the entire Atlantic Coastline?
This was my recent (admittedly welcomed) dilemma as I considered what to pack for the Sprint to Streamsong — a 10-day golf road trip beginning in Montauk, New York and ending at Streamsong Resort in Florida.
With such an array of climates, I turned to the brand I knew could deliver performance-driven, yet ultra-fashionable golf apparel for the wide-range of conditions I’d face. While all the J. Lindeberg golf gear performed incredibly well, below I highlight 5 of my favorite J. Lindeberg golf pieces from the trip.
5 J. Lindeberg Golf Favorites
1) Outerwear: Mixed Hybrid Jacket (Price: $295)
Perhaps my favorite of all J. Lindeberg pieces, the Mixed Hybrid Jacket is one of the more brilliantly designed outerwear pieces I’ve come across. I love the look – sporty, yet fashionable – while the advanced technology is second to none. Pairing a water-repellant primaloft insulation with a high-performance nylon fabric, the Mixed Hybrid Jacket is an ultra-lightweight and super warm piece.
The genius of the design focuses the insulation in the torso area, while use of stretchable fabric in the sleeves avoid any bulk and result in free range of motion. The jacket’s savvy design features and use of multiple fabrics epitomize why J. Lindeberg is at the forefront of bridging fashion and function on the golf course. This is a great jacket for chilly Fall / Spring months, and can be paired with a base layer and sweater for those cold Winter days.

2) Knits: Marten True Merino Sweater (Price: $195)
Anyone who knows me understands that I absolutely love knitwear. As good as some of the modern day technically-sound pullovers and layering pieces might be, you just can’t beat a great knit. And, the Marten True Merino Sweater by J. Lindeberg is just that — a fantastic knit.
At first glance, the design is what really sets this sweater apart. While most of my knits are solids, the Marten Sweater makes a splash by utilizing a sharp pattern with clean, sleek lines and contrasting colors, putting a contemporary twist on the classic knit piece. Mulesing-free Merino wool offers an incredibly soft feel, while ribbing at the neck, sleeves and hem provide warmth, while also aiding in a trim, fitted look. Rock this sweater on the course, or under a blazer for an incredibly sharp look.

3) Trousers: Ellott Tight Micro Stretch Pants (Price: $135)
As a tall, trim guy, I’m always on the lookout for a slim-fitting pant that can go straight from the store rack to my closet, without a stop at the tailor. The Ellott Tight Micro Stretch Pants definitely deliver on that.
These are hands down the trimmest fitting golf trouser I’ve encountered, lending a fashionable look on the course. They also happen to be extremely comfortable, thanks to a four-way stretch technology that’s lightweight, water resistant, and highly breathable. Because of these properties, the Ellott pants were ideal for the mild days we encountered on the trip, and traveled well given the minimal wrinkling fabric.
It’s also worth noting the Ellott Micro Stretch Pants come in a regular fit too, perfect for those who prefer a little extra room.

4) Polo: Tour Tech Slim TX Jersey Polo (Price: $75)
Though I often gravitate toward new-age cotton blends that utilize technology to provide a cooler, lighter alternative to the cotton shirts of old, one of my favorite shirts from J. Lindeberg is the highly technical Tour Tech Slim TX Jersey Polo.
The trim silhouette and fitted sleeves make for an great fit, while use of J. Lindeberg’s technically advanced TX jersey fabric results in a soft feel and moisture management for those warmer days on the course. It’s available in regular or slim fit and is offered in a myriad of different colors (I dig the Strong Blue and Deep Purple), making it the perfect staple polo for your golf wardrobe.

5) Layering: Alleo Slim Soft Compression Layer (Price: $95)
This was my first foray into the compression layer and I’m here to say, I’m hooked. I’ve often worn thermal layers in the cold winter months, but had not fully subscribed to the compression layer. What I found is that this thin, stretchable and soft base layer packed quite the punch.
It cuts the wind, blocks the sun (UV 50+ protection) and adds a sporty elegance to any look. It’s not as warm as a thermal, making the compression layer ideal to wear under a variety of weather conditions ranging from chilly mornings to sun-filled afternoons. If you’ve yet to try it, I highly recommend giving the Alleo Slim Soft Compression Layer a look.
