Pro Golf Update: February 2016

Estancia Club approachBelow is a quick update on my pro golf tournament results from February and early March.  Candidly, I didn’t feel I had my best stuff out on the course and struggled a bit from tee-to-green during the early part of this stretch.

With the goal of long-term development of my game (and the cost of entry fees a key consideration), I decided to put the three day events on hold for a few weeks to spend some focused time working on my swing. The work has paid off as I’ve been hitting it much better recently.

Sedona Golf Course Hole 4

I spent most of my time on the practice tee and green, but made a point to end each day with 9-holes of golf to ensure the work I was doing on the range would hold-up on the course.  Over the last two weeks, I’ve seen some good results shooting 4-under twice and 3-under once during practice rounds.

I’ve also been playing in one day events each week to keep the competitive juices flowing.  Results of those rounds shown below.

In the coming weeks, I’ve got a full schedule of events planned.  We’ll be spending about 3 more weeks in Arizona before heading to Southern California to begin preparations for Mackenzie Tour (aka PGA Tour Canada) qualifying, taking place in late April.

I’m currently in the process of raising funds for the qualifying tournament entry fee. If you want to help support my journey, financial assistance can be given here –> Go Fund Me Page.  I truly appreciate all contributions (no matter how big or small) and thank you in advance for your support!

Hey man, good to hear from you. Plans are TBD at the moment. Doing US Open local qualifier in Northern California in mid-May and then go from there. I’d love to make it up for that event to have you on the bag. I will keep you posted as we make some decisions in the coming weeks. Hope the golf game is in good form!
